Despina Michael-Grigoriou is a Professor of Virtual Reality at the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts, Cyprus University of Technology (CUT). She is the founder and director of GET Lab, established in 2012 with seed funding from Microsoft. She joined CUT in 2012, serving as Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and, since 2021, Associate Professor. She holds a PhD in Computer Graphics from the University of Cyprus (2010) and previously worked at the EVENT Lab, Univ. of Barcelona, and the Univ. of Nicosia
